Location: Lexington, MA

Primary Objectives: Leverage strong design and web development skills to build and enhance web sites for the Ipswitch Network Management division. Manage web site projects from conceptualization to implementation leveraging design skills with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and development skills with ASP.NET. Drive enhancements to web site navigation, search engine optimization, and web site look/feel. Develop and enhance data-driven web site tools.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Manage web site projects from conceptualization to implementation, coordinating and communicating effectively with stakeholders in all stages of work.
  • Maintain divisional websites, performing a wide-range of duties including the development of new site content and updating of existing content/pages.
  • Work closely with Ipswitch IT team to build and enhance data-driven customer interactive tools (using ASP.NET and related technologies).
  • Drive improvements in search engine optimization and web traffic tracking.
  • Build landing pages, web banners and email templates.  Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
  • Work with Omniture (web traffic analysis), Google Analytics, Sage CRM and other applications connected to divisional web sites.
  • Build the business brand and create style guidelines.
  • Utilize interactive skills, social networks and Web 2.0 technologies.

Required Technical Skills

  • Standards-compliant HTML/CSS - 5 years
  • Photoshop/Illustrator – 5 years
  • JavaScript/AJAX – 3 years
  • Flash – 2 years
  • SEO – 2 years
  • MS ASP.NET – 2 years
  • MS SQL Server – 2 years
  • Experience building data-connected web applications in ASP.NET
  • Strong understanding of relational databases
  • XML/RSS – 2 years

Required Soft Skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with peers and upper-management
  • Great communication skills.  Communicates project plans effectively.
  • Strong project management skills.  Proven project management discipline.
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple priorities as needed and managing related expectations.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce systems.
  • Strong interest in learning new technologies and design techniques.
