The Simpsons Postage Stamp
Do you still send letters via snail mail? Do you need a way to inject some personality in this archaic form of communication? If you’re answer is yes then you should look into purchasing a booklet of The Simpsons Postage Stamps. Each of the 20 stamps features a different Simpsons family character, including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie (but no Grandpa). The creator of the hit cartoon series, Matt Groening, personally drew each stamp as well as the four randomly available booklet covers. You can find them for $9.00 at the USPS store.
Livio Radio
No you can stream music from Pandora or any other internet radio station of your choice with the Livio Radio. Livio’s music system features both built in Wi-Fi and Ethernet and is designed specifically to access your Pandora Internet Radio account. Like the online radio service Livio will pay attention to which tunes you love and which tunes you could live without with dedicated thumbs up/thumbs down buttons for rating your music. Livio also includes an auxiliary input for connecting other audio sources and an included remote control. It’s available here for $150.
Fujitsu Security USB
Fujitsu has developed a solution for the paranoid freak in all of us. They’ve created a pair of new technologies wrapped in a single package aimed at preventing sensitive information from getting into the wrong hands. First, the “secure USB memory device” is a thumb drive containing a processor and a battery. Data security policies can be set to delete data after a specific period of time or if the drive is accessed by an unauthorized computer — handy if the thing gets lost or misplaced. Second, the company’s “file redirect technology” restricts the data to the USB memory device itself, or to a specified server. It isn’t quite available for the average consumer yet- the company is still conducting trials – but look for this handy device to hit the market sometime this year.
