Ipswitch volunteers helped the Boston Foundation’s CHAMPS (Coaches Helping Athletes through Mentoring and Positive Sports) program at the first “Cheers for CHAMPS” celebration. More than 2,000 kids and their coaches enjoyed a day at Fenway Park to celebrate the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through sports. Kids played with big-league coaches and were interviewed by celebrities. It was a great success and a day of fun for both the kids and volunteers.
CHAMPS Boston provides funds for athletic equipment and maintenance of sports facilities. For more information visit the Boston Foundation.
