Instructions

You must have a valid license for the WhatsConnected plug-in in order to access the WhatsConnected features. You can view the list of plug-ins available for your WhatsUp Gold installation by logging into the Customer Portal. If you do not have a license for the WhatsConnected plug-in, you can buy a license here. We recommend completing the purchase process before installing the WhatsConnected patch.

Summary

  • Exporting very large maps to WhatsUp Gold from WhatsConnected no longer results in missing map annotations and links.
  • Fixed a problem that prevented saved discovery files created in WhatsConnected v1.0 and v1.5 from opening in WhatsConnected 2.1.
  • WhatsConnected now correctly collects and processes Extreme Discovery Protocol (EDP) data from Extreme Network devices
  • Corrected an "Unhandled Service Exception" error when exporting from WhatsConnected to WhatsUp Gold when a device being exported had an interface for which no MAC address could be found.
  • Updated licensing routines to recognize "Unrestricted" device count licenses in WhatsUp Gold. This previously prevented users from exporting any devices from WhatsConnected to WhatsUp Gold.
