Instructions

You must have a valid license for the WhatsConnected plug-in in order to access the WhatsConnected features. You can view the list of plug-ins available for your WhatsUp Gold installation by logging into the Customer Portal. If you do not have a license for the WhatsConnected plug-in, you can buy a license here. We recommend completing the purchase process before installing the WhatsConnected patch.

  • Alert on Network Changes – Automatically receive an email alert when new devices appear, change, or disappear from a scheduled discovery scan.
  • Enhanced Discovery Capabilities – Scan for and display Port Duplex settings.
  • Manage Historical Views of Network Configuration – Store and compare older versions of discovery files.
  • Support for Additional Network Devices and Entities – Added support for devices previously categorized as “unknown” and the concept of a "network hub."
