Requirements
- You must have WhatsUp Gold version 6 installed.
Summary
- Contains support for alternate
modem settings for beepers and pagers which benefits users with
multiple modems on their systems and/or multiple service providers that
require conflicting modem settings.
- 'Add host' from the web has been
corrected so that you are now able to add all custom hosttypes.
- Added
'replace' functionality to 'Add Alerts to Group' enables you to
receive the functionality of replacing alerts on a selected group and
allows the deletion of all alerts on a selected group by adding 'nothing'
and using the replace option.
- Also includes fixes and an upgrade
problem for v5 pager notifications that do not use 8n1 and resets to pager
protocols to TAP.
- Corrects the SNMP Trap Handler to address possible exploits resulting in a denial-of-service or service interruption. These fixes addressed all of the issues highlighted by the CERT Advisory's (CA-2002-03) 24,000 test cases.
- Addresses problems with
SNMPView when querying a target SNMP agent on a Microsoft Windows-2000
platforms.
This patch also contains fixes for the following:
- MAC address
that do not begin with "00" are now displayed correctly.
- Addresses a problem when indices of the interface table are not
sequential, but are assumed to be so.
- Improved checking of error codes
when walking sub-trees.
- Added new icons for ATM, DSL, ISDN and Radio.
- Changed the default icon to is now a generic DB9 connector.
- Updated the
status line so it displays the actual interface type name next to the
interface description.
