Requirements

  • You must have WhatsUp Professional 2006 (Standard or Premium edition) installed.
  • You must have a current WhatsUp Professional 2006 license key.
    (If you need help finding your license key, contact our customer service team.)

Summary

  • Included the ability to tune the timeouts used in WMI polls via the registry. The default has changed from 5 seconds to the native WMI timeout.
    These settings do not affect WMI timeouts in the console or web interface.

    values:
    RPCPingTimeout = 0 (Native WMI timeout, same as WUP2005, new default in 2006.02)
    RPCPingTimeout = ffffffff (same strategy as WUP2006, 5 seconds)
    RPCPingTimeout = # (User specified in ms, for example 5000 decimal is 5 seconds)
