Problems Solved

Simulating / Monitoring Real User Experience

AlertFox End-User Monitoring (EUM) interacts with your Website using real browser instances, enabling it to go beyond the basic metrics of availability and response time to show you how data actually appears in the browser. You’ll not only know there’s a response time issue with a particular Web application; you’ll also be able see the failed transaction and its impact on the end user via AlertFox screenshot on error feature. With AlertFox EUM, you’ll find problems before your end users do.

With AlertFox EUM, you organization can reduce and even eliminate:
  • Usability issues including missing Web components, content or graphics.
  • Failed e-commerce transactions or form-filling submission steps.
  • Web application performance issues resulting from poor response time issues.
  • Performance problems related to Rich Internet Applications (RIA) with Silverlight, Flash, and AJAX technologies.
  • Slow Web applications resulting from 3rd party performance issues (e.g. Content Delivery Network).

AlertFox EUM makes it easy for you to deliver a high quality end-user experience, minimize Web application downtime and increase your business efficiency across IT, internal users, partners and customers.

Actionable Reporting

In a single dashboard, AlertFox EUM provides a color-coded summary view of the status of all your mission-critical Web transactions. With the advanced reporting capability, you can trend performance history of a transaction, and easily drill down into specific error instances with annotated information, including screenshots and waterfall charts of individual object performance.

AlertFox EUM monitoring frequency can be set to 5, 15, 30, 60, 120 minute intervals. That way you can configure how often specific Web transactions are monitored based on your business requirements.

Detailed Business-Relevant Data

With each Web transaction, AlertFox EUM provides summarized statistics about the kind of traffic (DNS, connect, send, receive, etc.), the kind of content that is served (HTML, JavaScript, Images, etc.) as well as details about the HTML body and headers.

In addition, AlertFox EUM shows the HTTP conversation neatly displayed in a waterfall timeline, making it easy to see how quickly (or slowly) a site responds to a browser's requests, and how fast the corresponding content is transferred. AlertFox EUM’s waterfall diagram displays the load time for each object of your site.

AlertFox EUM long-term trend reporting shows how well your Web services and transactions perform over time – days, weeks and months. Custom reporting can also be done for a specific timeframe.

Troubleshooting and Alerts

AlertFox EUM makes it easy to delegate alert troubleshooting by allowing you to assign a specific email address or SMS contact to each monitored transaction. For example, if your credit card payment process is not working, then your backend crew gets an email. If a search box returns garbled results, then your DB administrators receive an SMS.

AlertFox EUM also lets you set alert notification levels, so you can be notified immediately when a critical business event occurs, but only after multiple failed transactions on a less important event.

AlertFox EUM can also help you monitor overall Web service stability. Showing you when updates slow site performance and detecting load problems as the popularity of your site grows.
