WhatsConnected v1.5

Instructions

You must have a valid license for the WhatsConnected plug-in in order to access the WhatsConnected features. You can view the list of plug-ins available for your WhatsUp Gold installation by logging into http://my.whatsupgold.com. If you do not have a license for the WhatsConnected plug-in, you can buy a license here . We recommend completing the purchase process before installing the WhatsConnected patch.

  1. I already have WhatsUp Gold 12.4 installed

    1. Ensure you have WhatsUp Gold 12.4 installed. You can verify your software version in WhatsUp Gold by opening the About window in the Help > About WhatsUp menu.
    2. Ensure you have a license for WhatsConnected. In the About window, click the "Plugins" button and ensure that the WhatsConnected plug-in is listed with a "Perpetual" or "Evaluation" type. If the type is "Not Enabled", please contact customer service.
    3. Read the WhatsConnected 1.5 Release Notes.
    4. Download the WhatsConnected 1.5 patch and run the installer. It will upgrade your WhatsConnected 1.0 installation to 1.5.

  2. I do not have WhatsUp Gold installed or I have a version older than 12.4.

    1. Log into the Customer Portal and download WhatsUp Gold 12.4.
    2. Read the WhatsUp Gold 12.4 Release Notes.
    3. Run the WhatsUp Gold installer. If you are upgrading from a prior version of WhatsUp Gold, the installer will recognize this and perform an in-place upgrade. We highly recommend you make a backup of your database when prompted by the installer.
    4. Ensure you have a license for WhatsConnected. In WhatsUp Gold, open the About window from the Help > About WhatsUp menu and click the "Plugins" button and ensure that the WhatsConnected plug-in is listed with a "Perpetual" or "Evaluation" type. If the type is "Not Enabled", please contact customer service.
    5. Read the WhatsConnected 1.5 Release Notes.
    6. Download the WhatsConnected 1.5 patch and run the installer. It will upgrade your WhatsConnected 1.0 installation to 1.5
