Quick Tip: Device Dependencies

Device dependencies are polling relationships between devices that are useful in preventing alert storms. If a device is downstream from another device like a router or switch, and that router or switch goes offline, the device dependency will prevent WhatsUp Gold from monitoring devices that are no longer reachable, thus preventing alert storms.
